An assessment of the size, growth and make-up of the telecommunications sector and equipment markets in China, to identify and evaluate the strategic market positions, opportunities and challenges for Canadian companies exporting to China. Four specific market segments main PSTN infrastructure, satellite based services, rural telephony and data services were studied and evaluated province by province. The study was undertaken for the Canadian Department of External Affairs, under Canada’s development and trade support programme.
